Travel technology provider Accelya has hired United Airlines distribution executive Tye Radcliffe as VP of product strategy, focusing on New Distribution Capability, One Order and payments, the company announced.
Radcliffe most recently was United’s director of distribution and previously worked with Orbitz, Travelport, G2 SwitchWorks and Amadeus. He also was a founding member of the International Air Transport Association’s working group for NDC.
“What Tye doesn’t know about NDC is not worth knowing,” according to Accelya chief product officer Jim Davidson, who joined Accelya as part of its acquisition of Farelogix last year. “In his role as chairman of IATA’s NDC taskforce, he literally wrote the rule book. Our airline clients know this and right from day one will benefit from his views and experience.”
