KLM is “un-cancelling” its services to Las Vegas
and Miami this winter, with flights to both cities from Amsterdam set to start
on 7 December.
Earlier this month, KLM scrapped plans to start service to
both cities on 31 October as the Dutch government designated the United States
a “very high-risk area” and added 10-day quarantine requirements even
for US travellers who are vaccinated against Covid-19. The Netherlands dropped
those requirements two weeks later, however, and coupled with the announcement
that the US would allow in vaccinated international visitors starting in
November, KLM reversed its decision. The carrier will fly three flights per
week to each city.
Additionally, KLM is adding four new destinations to its
schedule this winter: Cancun, Mexico; Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago;
Bridgetown, Barbados; and Mombasa, Kenya.
