Proper setup and swing mechanics is a must.

The grooves on the face of a golf club are similar to a rifle bore: the longer the golf ball stays on the clubface, the further and straighter the ball travels.

In fact, a golf ball remains on the face of a club about the same amount of time as it takes a bullet to exit the barrel of a hunting rifle. The longer the golf ball stays on the clubface, the further the ball will travel, very much like a long rifle barrel. A golf ball spins vertical, and a bullet spins right to left.

Most golfers think a golf shaft creates power, but that is not true. A golf shaft is a transmission, it transfers the energy from the mass of a golfer’s body to the clubhead at impact.

To obtain maximum accuracy and distance with a golf club, one must set up properly and swing with good tempo to allow the shaft to release at the correct time.

Don’t forget to enjoy this great game called golf.
