Birmingham named 5th best place to travel to in 2021

MONTGOMERY, Ala (WIAT) — With the start of the second half of the school year just days away, COVID-19 cases in Alabama are still high. Will that prompt all public schools in the state to go virtual? 

According to State School Superintendent Dr. Eric Mackey, the answer is no. Dr. Mackey says his goal for 2021 is to switch from virtual learning back to in-classroom learning. But says it will take time.
