Atlantic 10 Announces 2021-22 Women’s Basketball Conference Schedule

League Release

Newport News, Va. – Not long after the Fordham women’s basketball team announced its “most challenging” out-of-conference schedule, the Atlantic 10 today has announced the 2021-22 league slate, bringing the Rams’ full campaign into focus. The league plays a 16-game schedule, split evenly home and away. All tip-off times are still to be announced.

Fordham’s previously announced match-up pairings for this year are Davidson, Dayton, and Rhode Island. The Rams will begin and end league play with the Wildcats, opening the second half of the regular season on the road on New Year’s Day. Fordham will then return home to face Saint Louis and Rhode Island on Wednesday, January 5, and Sunday, January 9, respectively. The next week sees the Rams at George Mason and VCU on Wednesday, January 12, and Saturday, January 15.

The Rams will travel to Dayton on Sunday, January 23, in a nationally televised match-up on ESPNU. Sandwiched around that meeting is three home matches – first against George Washington on Wednesday, January 19, and then afterwards against Saint Joseph’s on Wednesday the 26th and against St. Bonaventure on Saturday the 29th.

Midweek brings the team’s bye before the squad travels to Duquesne on Saturday, February 5. Fordham hosts La Salle on Wednesday, February 9, before traveling to Rhode Island, on Sunday the 13th, and at Massachusetts on Wednesday the 16th. Fordham returns home to host the Flyers on Saturday the 19th before finishing with one road one away contest – first at Richmond on Wednesday the 23rd and then Davidson at home on the 26th.

The 2022 Atlantic 10 Championship will be held March 2-6 with all teams participating in a single-site format with location to still be determined.
