Alison Hammond has shared her top tip after her trip abroad was nearly ruined following an issue with internet at the airport.
The This Morning presenter flew to Portugal on Monday, May 17 as the lockdown measures across the UK changed, with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield following her journey from the ITV studio.
From today, international travel has resumed with a traffic light system in Wales, England and Scotland. You can read more on the things you can do in Wales as the country moves to alert level 2 here.

Upon arrival, however, Alison realised she had no access to the internet and therefore couldn’t load her Covid-19 test results.
She told a shocked Holly and Phil: “I’ve got one tip for anybody who is travelling, when I got to the airport in Madeira I couldn’t access the website because I had no WiFi, no internet, I couldn’t access my QR code with my Covid test.
“So we all know that I’m negative, but you’ve got to prove it with a QR and I couldn’t access it, so I started having a panic attack while everyone else was going through.”
Suggesting a way to avoid this happening to anyone else, Alison advised: “My one tip to people would be, is take a screenshot of your QR code so that you can show it when you get here because it can ruin your whole holiday, seriously.”
She added that, aside from the QR code, her whole experience had been “brilliant”.
Earlier in the show Holly and Phil explained why they still couldn’t hug despite rule changes in England. You can read more on this here.
This Morning continues weekdays at 10am on ITV.
